Try one of these ideas!

  • Remove the legs from a small coffee table and add new, longer legs.
  • Use an old footboard or headboard. Cut the posts for the front legs and buy ready made legs for the back. Paint to your liking!
  • Restore old porch planks into a gorgeous makeup vanity dresser! Have a metal frame built and attach the refinished boards as the vanity table top!
  • Repurpose an antique school desk for your makeup vanity! Use the storage space for your makeup!
  • Stack concrete blocks and lay painted plywood for the table. Paint a cute color!

My makeup dresser has always been created from something I found. I love reusing old things in a new way. You can make something beautiful for very little cost! Saving your pennies is always a great idea!

What creative ideas do you have for making your own makeup vanity with mirror? My favorite vanity makeup dresser was made by my dad from the footboard of my bed. He cut the posts and fashioned them into beautiful, princessy legs. Then he had legs cut at the hardware store and attached them for the back legs. We painted it the most beautiful color of blue and found the perfect round mirror for practically nothing at a garage sale.

That created the most magical vanity dresser with mirror ever! It wasn’t fancy or expensive, but it was my very own place to get ready for every day. Many firsts were prepared for in front of that  makeup vanity mirror. First day of middle school, first day of high school, first date, first dance, the day I left for college, and my wedding day. Many other days, both ordinary and special began and ended at that little vanity dressing table.

Create a special place of your own with your makeup dresser. Start each day in positive way. Smile at yourself and then go and smile at others!

Happy beautiful life!!

Suzanne
