One of the best ways to start you day with a perfectly packed nutritional punch is with – tada!! –  green smoothie, a fruit smoothie, or a green fruity smoothie. Pack it with protein and you have a nutritional powerhouse! Better skin, better strength, better muscle, better energy,better health, and a positive attitude, are but a blender away!

I love to start my day with a blended burst of goodness. It doesn’t take long to make it, and the clean up is quick and. You can even take it to go! You do have to plan ahead, so keep your ingredients list on your phone so you have it in hand on your next grocery run.

Easy Smoothie Recipe

Nothing gives me a rush of happy energy like my morning blend. And I’m not talking about coffee. Ok, admittedly, I really love to drink my coffee too, but only after I’ve enjoyed my awesome smoothie of the day. It just makes me feel fresh and rejuvenated on the spot. Immediately I can feel it’s goodness flooding my body with nutrients that I need for great health and energy.

Our bodies need plenty of fruits and vegetables so they be strong and healthy and ward off diseases.

If you will  feed yourself real, live food, along with healthy protein choices, your body will amaze you with its ability to use the delicious nutrients for beautiful health. Your hair will shine, your skin will have a beautiful glow, your bones will be strong, and you will be able to build great muscle strength through exercise. All of theses things will add up to a strong and beautiful life.

An easy and quick way to get your daily nutrients going, and perhaps even basically fulfilled so that lunch and dinner nutrients are just icing on the cake, pack as much punch into your morning smoothie recipe as you can. My family looks forward to these morning treats, so I thought I would share a couple of our favorite recipes. I will give you one serving, so just double it for two, and so on.

Frozen Fruit Smoothie Recipe

For the novice smoothie drinker, you may want to start with more fruit and less greens. You don’t want to overwhelm the novice nutrition-seeker with the strong taste of kale. Be kind, and gently work them up to the green goodness by gradually adding greens a few leafs at a time.

Kale is the king of the greens, so that will be the end goal. Spinach is also an amazing food. The taste of spinach is much easier to bury in berries; so start with spinach, then a blend, then all the way to kale alone. Because they are both amazing greens, I love to include them both in our morning smoothie recipe. I hope you enjoy!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

This is a great entry smoothie for those that haven’t worked up to the green smoothies yet :0

1 cup frozen strawberries

1/2  frozen banana (see Top 10 Reasons to Eat a Banana)

1 cup Almond Milk

1/4 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Blend until desired consistency and enjoy!

Green Smoothie Recipe

Two handfuls of spinach and kale mix

1 cup mixed berries or blueberries

1 cup Almond milk

1 scoop protein powder

1/4 vanilla Greek yogurt.

1 scoop protein power

frozen acai berry pack

1/4 frozen banana for creaminess

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Put leaves in first, then add other ingredients, blend, and enjoy.

Kandee’s Smoothie Recipe

1 cup coconut milk

1/4 to 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1/4 cup coconut milk vanilla yogurt

1 tablespoon coconut oil (pure virgin unrefined)

2 handfuls baby kale or spinach

1 pack frozen Acai berries

1 scoop vanilla protein powder
